The Conference on Differential and Difference Equations and Applications 2014 will take place in Jasná, which is higher part of Demänovská Dolina and is located in northern part of Slovakia, in National park Low Tatras, in district of Liptovský Mikuláš, situated 16 km far to the south of the town of Liptovský Mikuláš.

Jasná is the largest and most popular ski resort in Slovakia with plenty of cable cars and ski lifts. Hiking enthusiasts will appreciate marked routes and trails network. At the bottom of the valley trails lead through forest terrain, deep canyons between steep cliffs. Scrub and grassland prevails in the higher altitude. Physically savvy hikers seek out the output to the highest peaks of Low Tatras - Chopok (2024 m) and Ďumbier (2043 m), offering views of almost half of Slovakia and ridge hikes. Comfortable visitors may be lifted by chair or cabine cableway.

On the road from Liptovský Mikuláš to Jasná you can find the longest cave system in Slovakia (21 km) and two caves open to public: Demänovská cave of freedom and Demänovská ice cave.
